Hooray It's Friday!!

Can I just say how much I love Fridays!

I was just chatting with a good friend today about how much we love our Friday nights at home. Our family has so much going on these days, that Friday and Saturday are our nights at home with no commitments. How wonderful it is to come home, get in my jammies, eat dinner, and hang out in front of the TV with my family until bedtime.

I am glad this week is over. I have recently changed positions at work and the past couple of weeks have been brutal getting adjusted to the new role. I have found myself many times questioning whether or not I should have taken this new position. But, what I am finding is, I am challenged again and I have not been in the past couple of years. I am learning a ton and my days fly by - that is a good thing. Once again God shows me it is all in the attitude of my heart. I need to count the blessings I have in my life and have a grateful heart!

Happy Friday To You!

HELLO AND HAPPY 13TH ANNIVERSARY!

I have been waiting until today to start my blog. The reason is I wanted to wait is for a special occasion that was coming up, and that is, today Dave and I are celebrating 13 years of marriage. God gave me a real gift when he put Dave in my life. We have sure been through a lot in that time. We have moved 4 times, he finished school and received his teaching credential, we had 2 beautiful babies, I have changed positions in my job 8 times, and he has taught at 2 high schools. WHEW! We are very grateful that we still have each other as we have also gone through some significant health issues with Dave. He survived a "sudden cardiac death" experience at school in 2005 (thank GOD that the school had defibrulator paddles that revived him) and has gone through heart valve repair surgery. We know how precious our marriage is and there is no one on this earth that I would rather be married to than "My Dave Man". He is a very special husband and father. Today is Monday, so we did not go out, but we did celebrate on Saturday and had a very delicious dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse here in Northwest Arkansas. But, we were home by 8:30, we are "old fogies" I guess after 13 years.
